Peru: Thousands affected by heavy rains, landslides

Heavy rains, with the resulting landslides, have caused havoc in several Peruvian villages near the capital. Thus far, eight deaths have been reported, with an additional five persons missing. Residents charge that much of the damage could have been prevented because they warned authorities in advance of the risks during the rainy season. Rael Mora reports from Lima. teleSUR
