Frozen Freeway For Ice Skaters?

For his senior thesis, Matt Gibbs, a landscape architecture student at the University of British Columbia, pitched the idea of creating a highway for ice skaters in the city of Edmonton. Now, the idea, which he calls a Freezeway, is finally starting to gain some support in the city. The Freezeway consists of over 6.8 miles of multi-use trails that in the wintertime would be frozen over for ice skaters. Ice skaters could glide through Edmonton’s arena district, downtown, and surrounding neighborhoods.
