US Vice-President Joe Biden met with the presidents of Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador in Guatemala City to address the issue of migration. Biden discussed Barack Obama's offer to grant US$1 billion to Central American countries to stop migration to the United States. Meanwhile, indigenous and peasant organizations said that this will not be enough to stop migration and that the core issue is to normalize the immigration status of Central Americans who already live in the United States. teleSUR
