The character Lucy is a lesbian in this version of Dracula, but here she’s seducing Jonathan Harker, the fiancée of her best friend Mina. Lucy has, of course, an ulterior motive for doing this, but once they get into bed, I think Lucy herself is surprised how much she enjoys having sex with a man.
They have shown two versions of this scene on TV. It was originally aired on British TV, but when it was time to show it on American TV, they had to tone it down to make it appear as Lucy didn’t enjoy herself just as much. American moral panic never ceases to amaze me. This clip has footage from both versions.
