Due to their small size and adorable appearance, miniature horses have been known to melt the hearts of both kids and adults. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department recently recruited one named Valor to help those who have lived through traumatizing ordeals and are struggling in their day-to-day lives.

Valor has received training to become a "law enforcement therapy horse." As part of her duty, she'll take part in local outreach programs and reading events.
A spokesperson from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department remarked, "Valor will serve as a 'face' of law enforcement and does so while upholding the Sheriff's Department motto of 'A Tradition of Service."
