A man in New York recently demolished his wife's home without obtaining her permission beforehand. 48-year-old James Rhein's name is not listed on the deed.
Only his wife, Diane Andryshak is on the documentation and she was quite shocked to learn about her place being destroyed. She told ABC7 " I don't know what happened. I don't know anything. I know that when I got here he was already down at the police station. We were not fighting, we were not arguing."
According to a neighbor, Rhein rented heavy machinery on Monday and knocked the house down on his own. His wife was not on site at the time.
Neither she nor her husband were staying at the home, as it was being renovated. However, Andryshak said all her belongings were inside the residence when the house came crashing down.
