An actor who appeared in films such as ‘Skyfall’ and ‘Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace’ has passed away.

Khan Bonfils was rehearsing for a theatrical show called “Dante's Inferno” when he unexpectedly died this week. According to reports, he collapsed while rehearsing for the play, which was scheduled to open in London this Thursday.

Craft Theatre Company tried to save him while waiting for paramedics to arrive on scene. Director Rocky Rodriguez Jr. performed CPR right away.

Craft Theatre Company spokesperson Chris Hislop said an ambulance was sent to the location, but all the resuscitation efforts were unsuccessful.

Hislop stated “The entire company are in shock. There is absolutely severe sadness, it is a real tragedy. I think they are holding it together by talking it through and by being there for each other.”

The official cause of his death has not yet been determined. The company hopes to open “Dante's Inferno” with another actor on Saturday.

Bonfils had a successful career, having landed a number of roles in other films including ‘Batman Begins’, and ‘Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle Of Life’.
