Teresa Giudice, of ‘Real Housewives’ fame has begun serving her prison term, but her last meal before check in wasn’t as glamorous as one may imagine.
In the early hours of the day she arrived in Danbury, Connecticut, home of the federal facility where she’ll be staying.
She was hungry and a bit early, so decided to take advantage of the spare time by stopping at a local diner.
On its menu are a large variety of items ranging from omelets to burgers, but Giudice kept it simple and went with a breakfast sandwich.
She also ordered a cup of coffee.
According to her attorney, her mood was quite subdued that morning.
He described her as being stoic and emotionally prepared for her looming incarceration.
Giudice has had several months to ready herself, as her sentence was handed down in early October.
The facility where she’s now housed is the same one written about by Piper Kerman, whose book inspired the Netflix series ‘Orange Is The New Black’.
There’s also a chance that Giudice will at some point be sent to West Virginia’s Federal Prison Camp Alderson, where Martha Stewart served time.
