The Southwest Chief heading East between Topeka and Lawrence, Kansas at dawn. As I drove up to the crossing, a young coyote crossed the road in front of me and went into the field just to the left of where I'm standing. If you listen, you can hear him yipping with the train horn when the train was one mile West. When I was waiting for #4; I listened to a Union Pacific C44-Dash 9 with the horn stuck on that was 2 miles North of my location.
