During the past four decades I have started and grown several flourishing companies and, because of this, I have had the chance to meet and find a great many individuals. You may be surprised to learn that intellect or ability or even higher education has not been much help to a large number of the great many people. Their degree of success was considerably less than you'd anticipate, largely since they lacked one important component that's completely paramount to accomplishing anything worthwhile. In the flip side, I have met others that had very little formal schooling, were pretty typical in intellect, and definitely did not shine in the natural ability world and yet they were out selling and out-creating their more "gifted" counterparts. As the President of a Transit Corporation so aptly said, "A person who possesses one very important ingredient can out strip a person of greater ability every time." What's that fixing? EXCITEMENT! Excitement is that additional sparkle that makes you amazing it is the inspiration that wakes you up each morning with all the want to actually live it is the persona that says to the world, "I've got what it takes" without you ever needing to utter a word. Aristotle called excitement "the regenerative force of conviction," Victor Hugo referred to it as "the fever of reason" while Ralph Waldo Emerson described it as "the height of man the passing of the human to the divine." Excitement spreads like a Prairie fire in the wind, blasts away every barrier, and helps you sell your ideas and products with complete trust. Excitement is strong material! What's the wellspring of excitement? Excitement is the external expression of an emotion that originates deep within the heart. It's as hopeless to conceal as heavy grief or enduring love. It's normal and unrestrained being neither flamboyant nor by choice sedate.
