This performance was my graduation Project at the SNDO ( Amsterdam School for New Dance
Development). We worked, experienced and dealt with spirituality as a main topic (in our
research; spiritual cultivation, practice and devotion). In terms of form or style, we used
psychosomatic dance, theater, and appropriated gestures and speech from religious origin.
In the piece, throughout a designed game/ceremony, or a exotic choreography, 3 performers
are confused looking for the “ONE”, becoming “ONE” within oneself, or becoming “ONE”
together. Through a sound-based internal and encrypted communication system, the dancers
stay interconnected and have consequences in one another... even the execution/devotion
process is something that happens in an individual level.
