People living in and around Buffalo, New York recently got slammed with copious amounts of snow. One of the affected individuals is Bethany Hojnacki and her situation was pretty dire.

At the height of the massive storm, she went into labor. She and her husband Jared soon realized there was no way they could reach the hospital in time due to the snow-filled roads.

Jared dropped off their older son off with family members and turned around to find a safe place where his wife could give birth. While driving, he noticed a woman who had gotten her vehicle stuck in snow near the couple’s home. He stopped to help.

Fortunately for the Hojnackis, that woman and stranded motorist is also a pediatric nurse. After hearing about the predicament, she went with Jared and stayed with Bethany for hours until a fire truck arrived to transport her to the hospital.

When the truck got stuck in snow, Bethany was rerouted to the firehouse, where she gave birth to a healthy little girl named Lucy Grace Hojnacki.

The Hojnackis weren’t the only ones to be affected by the storm. The snow, which reached a level of up to 65 inches left some drivers trapped inside their vehicles and prevented many commuters from getting to work.
