Your road is long,
Destination unknown
Stops for rest and games
But always alone
You leave in your wake
Broken dreams, broken hearts
And you don't like goodbyes
When it's time to part
You are stifled by bonds
Of a family hearth
And your friends give you more
Then you'll ever deserve
For they see in you
A spark of divine
And a stroke of your pen
Justifies all your crimes
But when you need a love
That asks nothing back
And some warmth and peace
Along your track
And a woman's gaze
That bequeaths you her soul
In these arms at last
May you find a home
