When the sun is up above,
My soul explodes with so much love
And when its rays beat down on me,
My spirits soar out of their tree
and Jack jumps up out of his box,
And bears make friends with Goldilocks
And all that's good is possible -
What's deep and wet is crossable.

And right 'bout then I realise
Like lightning striking in my eyes
Leda's swan without disguise
('It's not a swan, surprise, surprise,
That's nestling here betwixt my thighs! '
Said Leda. What I've realised
Is Life's OK, it's rather nice,
You might just say it's groovy.
Life it adds a touch of spice
Without it nothing moves me.
And again and again and again and again
And again and a few more times -
What was it now? - I had it then -
I only know it rhymes.

Ah!

I realise that life is all I've
Fantasised and what is more, I've
Realised that Life really is
That ultimate Fabulous Consumable Item
That is just so utterly, utterly precious
That it leads us to the inevitable conclusion
That - well, what can you say? -
That each moment of each day
That you live on this earth
That revolves at such speed
That you would not believe
That it were so (were it not so
That it's down in such books
That are covered in dust
That WILL settle in libraries
THAT quickly on those books
That no-one ever reads)
Is special.

Which brings me rather neatly to
What else I've realised.
And that is: That Life is too
Short to treat one second of it
As though it were anything but your last.

Go ahead - suck out the juice!
