The Italian city is well known for the Santa Maria Assunta cathedral's bell tower, more frequently referred to as the 'leaning tower'. Other interesting landmarks include the Caffè dell'Ussero - founded in 1775 - and the oldest coffee house in Pisa, the "Palazzo della Carovana" built in the early 1560s, and Pisa's main shopping street, the "Borgo Stretto".
