The Washington Post reported that a White House staffer was involved in the 2012 Colombian prostitution scandal.

The Washington Post recently reported that a White House volunteer was involved in the 2012 Colombian prostitution scandal.

At the time of the incident it was repeatedly denied that the president’s people had done any wrong.

Upon combing through numerous government documents, the Post says they’ve found that not only did the volunteer hire a prostitute, but the Secret Service knew about and reported it.

The individual in question is Jonathan Dach who was serving on the presidential advance team in Colombia at the time.

Evidence that points to his involvement includes accounts of the evening as told by hotel workers. In addition, there are logs showing that there was an additional guest in Dach’s room that night.

As is the practice in the area, the photo ID of the female visitor was copied and filed upon her arrival.

Also reported by the Post was an account of the White House’s efforts to diffuse the scandal.

The lead investigator for the Department of Homeland Security reportedly informed Senate staffers that "We were directed at the time . . . to delay the report of the investigation until after the 2012 election.”

The White House has denied that any interference took place.
