Robber Drives Around Store On Scooter Right Before Crime
Police in Santa Ana, California are searching for a man who allegedly robbed a Food 4 Less store. On the morning of September 18th, the male entered the business and sat on a motorized scooter.
Police in Santa Ana, California are searching for a man who allegedly robbed a Food 4 Less store.
The suspect was caught on surveillance footage cruising through the aisles prior to the actual crime. On the morning of September 18th, the male entered the business and sat on a motorized scooter.
For approximately 15 minutes, he drove through the shop, before he suddenly sprang up and walked over to a store manager.
An official with the Santa Ana Police Department further elaborated stating “He grabs him really hard and puts him in a chokehold and then places whatever object, we can't really see in this video, appears to be something next to his throat.”
The man pushed the staffer into the front office. He then told the manger and bookkeeper to open the safe and fill his backpack with the cash.
The robber ordered the manager to hand over the keys to his car; a silver 2001 Toyota Echo. After having the victim point out the auto in the parking lot, the suspect fled the scene in the manager’s vehicle.
Police have released the surveillance footage along with a description of the robber in an effort to garner tips.
