Here are five supposedly healthy foods that aren't always so.

Unfortunately, a lot of food we think is healthy is in fact the opposite. Here are five healthy foods that won’t help you get in shape.

Number 5. Fruit Cocktail
You'd think because it's made up of fruit it'd be good for you, but a cup may contain 26 grams of sugar and preservatives, and at 110 calories, you're better off eating fresh fruit.

Number 4 . Fat-free yogurt
While most of the fat has been cut out of the yogurt, it's been replaced with sugar, starch and sweeteners. Greek yogurt is a better alternative.

Number 3. Trail mix
When it comes to this snack, it's all about what's in the mix. Many trail mixes include salted nuts, sweetened dried fruit and chocolate chips, all of which can add up to 300 or more calories per handful.

Number 2. Light salad dressings
Just because something is on the "light" side, doesn't mean it's good for you. Fat-free dressing is full of preservatives, sodium and sugar. A better alternative would be simply using olive oil and balsamic vinegar.

Number 1 . Pretzels
This snack time favorite has no real nutritional value, topped off with salt. A single serving can add up to nearly a quarter of sodium a person should consume in one day.
