South African take on Nutcracker debuts

The Johannesburg Ballet debuted its modernized version of Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker with a South African twist. The new version is set in the Kalahari desert and features rock painters and traditional healers. The idea is to attract a new, young and Black audience to the ballet. teleSUR
