Two-Headed Tortoise Born in Denmark

At a clinic in Denmark on September 9, vets were presented with a rare sight: a two-headed tortoise, just one day old. The animal’s condition is known as Polycephaly and occurs when identical twins fail to separate before birth. Tortoises with this condition are said to be able to survive without difficulty. This video shows the young tortoise peek one head out of its shell, then the second. Credit: YouTube/Beth Fledelius
