Panty-Clad Peaches Fail To Thrill Consumers

A fruit vendor in China has started selling peaches that are wearing panties.

Peaches are a favorite summertime fruit in many places, but in recent years have reportedly been losing popularity in China.

Well, thanks to one vendor, the fruit has been getting a lot more attention lately.

A while back he started selling peaches sporting pairs of panties.

The undergarment styles and fabrics cover a broad range of options from provocative sheers to sensible cottons.

On offer is a satin-lined presentation box of 9 for the equivalent of about 80 dollars.

They were allegedly intended to be sold as a souvenir at an annual romance festival and possibly included a nod to the booming lingerie and undergarment industry in the area the peaches are grown.

Before long, other sellers started to copy the idea and their availability has spread.

Humorous though it is, Chinese consumers aren’t thrilled about the trend.

Some have expressed that they find the marketing ploy to be too suggestive.

Others are finding it to be downright vulgar.

The panty peach’s inventor isn’t too thrilled about their being sold in so many places, either.

Not long ago he filed a patent request for the fruit undies and hopes to bring the unauthorized use of them under control.
