Gaza residents checked their distorted houses

Residents of Beit Hanoun in Gaza were distraught on Saturday as they returned to find many of their homes completely flattened by recent violence, as Israel and Hamas continued a 12-hour humanitarian cease-fire.
Civilians on both sides have been hardest hit over the past 18 days.
Nearly 900 Palestinians and 40 Israelis have been killed.(AP)
