Spitsbergen is the largest island of the Svalbard archipelago in Norway and borders the Arctic Ocean, the Norwegian Sea, and the Greenland Sea. The island is also home to many glaciers, which grow and diminish as the seasons change. This diminishing can sometimes result in massive chunks of ice breaking off into the sea, as captured by Berthold Hinrichs in this video. Credit: YouTube/Berthold Hinrichs
