A picture of the credit card receipt, upon which Sapp wrote ‘boys don’t tip’, made its way to the Internet and has since been making the rounds.
The waitress recently appeared on a Miami radio program and explained what happened.
The server also clarified that she’s not the one who put the receipt picture on the Internet. Her sister did.
She’d sent it to her sibling because it was from a celebrity, not because she was stiffed.
Sapp caught wind of the public outing and tweeted that he felt the service was poor.
The waitress denies that, and the restaurant is looking through surveillance footage to get to the truth of the matter.
