Cats are mischievous creatures by nature. An American woman living in France recently learned that firsthand.

On Wednesday morning, Claire Berlinski found herself locked in her own bedroom. With nothing to do, Berlinski took to Twitter for help and continued to live tweet her way through the whole ordeal.

In a post she noted “So my cat's knocked the handle off my bedroom door and I'm locked in my bedroom now. Nothing left to try but to Tweet this drama… Tried: coat hanger, nail file, credit card, kicking the door down..Any other bright ideas?”

When netizens expressed concern, she responded by saying she had access to a bathroom and plenty to read. Berlinski also made it clear French locksmiths are expensive and she wasn’t keen on paying one.

Luckily her father only lives a mile away, and once alerted on the situation, sent for help to free Berlinski.

In another report from earlier this year, a 22-pound cat named Lux attacked a baby. Lux's owners scrambled to a bedroom inside the home for safety and dialed 911 for help.

Lee Palmer, Teresa Barker, the couple's young son Jesse and even the family's dog were forced to wait in the bedroom until police arrived to contain the angry cat.
