A small guitar improvisation piece by Zieryeb Meickal to the memory of Andalusia, the Arabic Spain, the source of the European Renaissance and the birth of the Western civilization as we know it today. Andalusia, next to Bagdad, was the center of the world, where Muslims, Christians and Jews were living together. Andalusia was the bridge and channel that mediated the transfer of the Islamic civilization to the Western world. Without the Islamic civilization, the Western civilization as we know it today would not even be here. Unfortunately, children at school are not taught this. They are told that European Renaissance and Western civilization was born directly from the Greek and that the Islamic civilization was merely translating the Greek books.
