Hard on the heels of Universal's WOLF MAN, Fox jumped with both feet (or perhaps all four paws) into the horror-movie market with a splendid supernaturally-shaded mystery-thriller pitting late Victorian detectives against a beastly nocturnal nemesis and an ancient family curse. Sound hauntingly familiar? Oh, it isn't quite THAT elementary, Couch Pumpkin!
