Arizona’s new state senator, Bob Worsley, has come up with an immigration control means that hasn’t thus far gotten resounding support.

He plans to build a radar surveillance border patrol system in close proximity to the one already there and monitored by the Department of Homeland Security.

It consists of 300 devices that are both highly sensitive and intuitive, being able to tell the difference between a human and an animal.

In the event a person is detected crossing the border, it would alert Homeland Security.

The system would also forward videos to both enforcement agencies and a public server.

The total cost for its installation is estimated at 30 million dollars.

As there’s already security along the border between Mexico and Arizona, many have questioned why a second one is needed.

Among the points made is that the real problems lie in areas of law and government and added surveillance won’t solve those.

Worsley said that Arizona and the other border states should have a way of independently monitoring and verifying the activity along their boundaries.

Some of the states he speaks of have voiced support for the initiative, but have not offered any financial assistance.
