Two School Buses Collide in Terrifying Crash

Recently a horrible, stomach knotting accident was caught on camera and unfortunately, it involved two school buses.
Recently a horrible, stomach knotting accident was caught on camera and unfortunately, it involved two school buses.
The crash occurred at an intersection in a residential area of Copiague, New York. A larger bus had been heading west. There is a stop sign at one point in the road and it appears as though the bus didn’t stop or slow.
Instead it blew past the sign at the worst moment because a shorter bus heading south was crossing the intersection at that time. The larger bus rammed right into the smaller one, causing it to flip onto its side.
One 7-year-old female student had been on the short bus. Neighbors rushed to the vehicles and one Good Samaritan pulled the girl off the bus. He claimed she had a large laceration and seemed to be in shock.
Both drivers and the girl were quickly rushed to the hospital and they have all since been released. The driver of the larger bus has been suspended.
Thus far, the investigation into the crash has revealed drugs and alcohol were not a factor. No charges have yet been filed in the case.
According to neighbors, the stop sign that was passed is difficult to see, due to branches that partially conceal it.
