Michael Jackson stole the show at the 2014 Billboard Music Awards.

Of course, he wasn’t in human form, but instead he gave the undoubtedly awesome performance for his newest single ‘Slave to the Rhythm’ as a hologram.

In front of a packed audience, the scene came to life featuring Jackson sitting center stage on a throne. After the music kicked in, the hologram stood up and started showcasing Jackson’s signature moves, which included the very well known ‘Moonwalk’.

All the while, his vocals blasted in the background. To sum it up, the show was definitely impressive and it was difficult to tell the hologram wasn’t Jackson himself.

After he passed away at the age of 50 in 2009, many fans were left reeling, unable to accept that they would never again see him perform but the recent show proves his musical legacy continues to live on in a lifelike way that was once thought impossible.

Billboard Music Awards director and producer Larry Klein remarked “You were watching the magic of Michael Jackson just like you would have when he was performing.”
