'The Mine Suite' Rests 500 Feet Underground in an Abandoned Mine

Nestled 500 feet into the ground in the abandoned Sala Silvermine is a suite that is referred to as 'The World’s Deepest Hotel Room'.
So many hotel rooms offer similar features and accommodations. But if you know where to look, a very unique experience can be found.
Nestled over 500 feet into the ground in the abandoned Sala Silvermine is a suite that is referred to as “The World’s Deepest Hotel Room”. ‘The Mine Suite’ is situated in Sweden’s Silvermine Hostel.
Those who are adventurous enough to stay in the radical room have to take a roughly 5-minute elevator ride down an abandoned shaft. Candles are set up inside the suite to offer guests some much needed lighting.
‘The Mine Suite’ doesn’t just offer guests a distinct accommodation. Reserving it means visitors receive a complete tour of the underground area.
Once the guided tour wraps up, guests are served a basket filled with cheese, biscuits, fruits, sparkling wine and chocolate. With extensive caverns and winding galleries, the interior surroundings are dark and a little scary, but somehow the space is also very tranquil.
Although the room lacks both an en suite bathroom and electricity it does certainly provide a once in a lifetime experience. It doesn’t exactly come cheap though, as it costs over $650 a night to stay in ‘The Mine Suite’.
