Concessions made by French Prime Minister Manuel Valls in his spending cuts plan will cost the state up to cost €2 billion extra, a Socialist Party deputy has claimed. Valls announced on Monday he would allow inflation-linked rises for some pensions, certain welfare payments and low-paid public sector workers. He's due to present his full €50 billion cuts plan to parliament later.
