Scientists have found that the key ingredient in Silly Putty grows better motor neurons (spinal cord cells) that are ten times larger than cells grown by other methods. The cells are so much better, they may one day be used in treatments for Alzheimer's disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), and Huntington's disease.
