Official Frontlines: Fuel Of War music with videoclips filmed during on-line gameplay! (Map: Solar Farm)
After being owned in the intro...it's PAYBACK TIME!
Details: Music: "Closer To Home" is composed and performed by Matthew Harwood.
Programs used: Fraps (for recording the gameplay); Solveig Multimedia AVITrimmer (to cut out the clips I want); Windows Movie Maker (to stick the clips and music together and saving it at HD 16:9) and Xilisoft to convert it back to 4:3 and cropping out the black edges..WITHOUT losing the image quality!
How the video was made: It all started with a "script." As I heard the music and SOME of the lyrics I visualized what I would like to see. And I took notes. I knew how to let it start and how to let it end. The middle part depended on how I played or what I've recorded with Fraps.
First I had to play for a few days and record almost 30 hours of gameplay, deleting many unwanted clips along the way to save Hard Disk Space. Then I had to create three folders; one to place Cool Deaths in it, one for Awesome Kills; and one for "Coop With Teammates & Teammates In Action".
After I was sure I had racked enough kills for every type of soldier or vehicle, I had to choose all the best ones to go in their respective folder. After that I had to cut out about 5 seconds of the clips I wanted and edit them above Matthew Harwood's song with Windows Movie Maker.
After about 3 days of editting, the music video was completed.
I SUCK at flying the "Chopper", that's why I have NO personal kills with Helicopter in the videoclip. And my Jet move "jerky" because of the game's sensitivity to my joystick. (There's no way to set the "deadzone" for your joystick!)
