Maleficent is easily one of the most bad ass villains to ever be in movies. And this summer she gets her own movie named after her. Which is well deserved. This drink much like Maleficent herself, will have you squirming and terrified from the beginning. As the absinthe creeps up on you, hidden in the sweet chocolate licorice flavors. So sip on it sparingly and as it gets warmer it gets to taste more like dark chocolate licorice, with the absinthe remaining ever present. So if you like absinthe definitely try this one.

Recipe 1 oz Absinthe 1 oz Malibu. Red or Black 1/2 oz XO cafe patron/Coffee Liqueur (or until its as dark as you want it.) 1 oz Apple Juice.
Directions; Add all ingredients to a mixing glass, and stir well, strain into a chilled martini, if you have it on hand garnish with a nice red apple slice.
