Goose Flies Through Vehicle's Windshield

A woman in Colorado is left baffled after a goose flew right through her vehicle's windshield and got stuck in her steering wheel.
You typically see geese and ducks going about their daily lives in ponds and neighborhood parks. One however got a little too close for comfort. A woman in Colorado is left baffled after a goose flew right through her windshield and got stuck in her steering wheel.
Shannon Jergenson had been cruising down a major highway at the time of the incident. Jergenson saw the bird approach, but within seconds it crashed right through her windshield. Luckily she was able to turn her head to avoid seriously getting hit in the face with shards of glass.
Her speed was estimated to be about 50 miles per hour and the windshield was so badly shattered, Jergenson couldn’t see. But, somehow she managed to gracefully slow down and pull over without swerving.
Colorado State Police troopers posted about the accident on Twitter and pointed out nobody was critically injured, aside from the goose. The bird did not survive the accident .
State patrol authorities also said they’ve never seen a comparable incident in their careers. (3, last) Jergenson encountered one tiny scratch and at this time, she’s just trying to get over the shock.
She commented "Freak accident, you know, complete freak accident, and I'm still shaken up by it. I have to now talk myself into starting my car now."
