Manchester United vs. Manchester City Live Stream Online 25 March 2014

Manchester City have an opportunity to showcase their title credentials and close the gap on leaders Chelsea with a second derby victory of the season on Tuesday night.

Manchester United were beaten 4-1 at the Etihad Stadium in September as David Moyes endured a difficult start to his reign, and the pressure has continued to be relentless for the past six months.

At no stage have United looked like defending their Premier League crown and, with eight games of the season still to play, even a top-four finish looks out of reach.

The Red Devils are currently seventh, 11 points adrift of fourth-placed Arsenal, and if they cannot defy the odds to win the Champions League their most likely route to European football for next season is to make up the five-point gap on Tottenham Hotspur in fifth.

Moyes believes it is also important to reward the club's fans for their loyal support with a big performance against one of the leading teams in the division, having only defeated one side in the top nine this season.

One of the low points was a 3-0 loss at home to Liverpool earlier in March, but confidence has been boosted by a couple of victories in the past week.

Having come back from a first-leg defeat to beat Olympiakos 3-0 and set up a Champions League quarter-final against Bayern Munich, Wayne Rooney then inspired United to a 2-0 win at West Ham on Saturday with a wonder goal from near the halfway line.

Manuel Pellegrini is wary of the challenge facing his City side at Old Trafford, but wants to seize the chance to take a potentially decisive step towards the title.

Pellegrini still wary of United

City currently trail Chelsea by six points but have three games in hand and the next few days may prove pivotal, with a trip to Arsenal to come on Saturday.

Victory on Tuesday would lift Pellegrini's men into second place above Liverpool, who will have an opportunity to respond against Sunderland 24 hours later.

And, like United, City head into the clash on the back of two victories, having beaten Hull City 2-0 with 10 men and then cruised to a 5-0 success against Fulham on Saturday.

Yaya Toure netted a hat-trick at the weekend and has a great record against United, scoring in the two previous meetings at the Etihad.
