Man Wearing 'Scream' Mask Attempted to Abduct Teenage Girl

Investigators in Philadelphia are trying to find a suspect who allegedly attempted to abduct a teenage girl while wearing a mask replicating the one worn in the movie ‘Scream’.
Investigators in Philadelphia are trying to find a suspect who allegedly attempted to abduct a teenage girl while wearing a mask replicating the one worn in the movie ‘Scream’.
The 14-year-old adolescent told police she had been walking to school when the mask-wearing man stepped out of a vehicle and grabbed her from behind. The male tried to cover the girl’s mouth but fortunately she was able to break free from his hold and run away.
The victim made it safely to school, where she reported the terrifying incident. The attempted abduction occurred on March 21st in Philadelphia’s Frankford section.
Local law enforcement describes the would-be abductor as a 200 pound male who stands roughly 5 feet 9 inches tall. He was wearing dark sweatpants and a hooded sweatshirt in addition to the ‘Scream' mask at the time of the incident.
He was reportedly driving a four door white sedan with tinted windows that could be a Pontiac. Anyone with information about either the suspect or the crime is asked to contact Philadelphia police immediately.
