Former Spanish PM Suarez gravely ill in hospital

Former Spanish Prime Minister Adolfo Suarez is gravely ill in a Madrid hospital.
According to his son, the 81-year-old may not survive the weekend.
Suarez was the first prime minister after the death of General Francisco Franco.
He is suffering from Alzheimer’s Disease, which has kept him away from the public eye for years.
He was admitted to hospital with a respiratory infection, which has developed into a neurodegenerative condition.
