He knew nothing of the egg’s history and true value. The dealer was going to sell it for a small profit but the buyer soon turned him down, believing the price had been exaggerated.
The egg rested in the scrap dealer’s kitchen for years. In 2012, he took to Google to research it and soon learned it is worth far more than what he paid.
The valuable antique was sold by the anonymous blue collar dealer, who is said to be ‘stunned’ by his newly acquired wealth.
