1/2 cup packed brown sugar 3tbs. room temp butter 1/2 cup and 1/4cup dark molasses 1/3 cup cold water 3 1/2 cups Gold Medal® all-purpose flour 1 teaspoons baking soda 1 teaspoons ground ginger 1/2 teaspoon ground allspice 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves 1/4 teaspoon salt
Chill in the refrigerator for 2hrs before rolling out. Pre heat oven 350 degrees and bake cookies for 10 to 12 mn. Let cookies cool before decorating.
Buttercream recipe 1 stick of butter 2 to 3 cups of powdered sugar depending on how thick you like your frosting. 1tsp of vanilla 2 tsp. luke warm water Add what ever food coloring you like. Because this is buttercream if you put it in the refrigerator it will firm up. I recommend making the frosting right before your ready to decorate your cooled cookies.
