An investigation is underway in San Diego following a bizarre attempted sexual assault. The incident occurred on a recent Friday in the bathroom of a Big Lots store.

Right after a woman walked into the stall, a male climbed under the door and latched onto her. He then tried to sexually assault the victim.

Here’s where the case becomes anything but routine. The suspect was reportedly barefoot and wore a Barbie costume.

He grabbed the female’s neck and pushed her against the wall. She tried to scream for help but the man covered her mouth.

Fortunately she struggled with everything she had and managed to fight off the man and flee from the stall. She immediately ran into a store employee.

Not long after that, the suspect bolted out of the bathroom. He was confronted by a security guard, however he produced a weapon that looked like a screwdriver and threatened to use it. The man was able to run out of the store.

The police were alerted of the incident. Just days after the attempted rape, cops arrested a suspect, 40-year-old Gregory Schwartz. They are now asking anyone with additional information about the incident to come forward.
