Cuteness can come in many different and sometimes bizarre forms. An absolutely adorable lamb in Inner Mongolia is attracting quite a bit of attention for a good reason.

The animal was born in late January and surprisingly it has seven legs. The farmer who owns the mother sheep helped deliver the baby lamb. He was shocked to see the extra three legs.

The little lamb has two hind legs and five forelegs. The additional legs are in varying lengths. The other four limbs are typical in size and fully functional.

According to the farmer, the mother did not have any problems during her pregnancy. About two minutes after birth, the lamb could stand up by itself and approximately a half an hour later it was drinking milk.

The owner first thought he would have the extra legs amputated but since the baby is walking around just fine and seems to content, he may leave the three legs where they are.

According to experts, the rare defect is contributed to ‘abnormal embryo growth’. It’s estimated that only one in 7 million sheep is born with additional limbs.
