GERMANY - Germany: Child pornography scandal rocks Merkel's coalition

It's a scandal that keeps on growing. When German lawmaker Sebastian Edathy ended up on a list of suspected paedophiles, his party, the SPD, made him step down quietly. The Social Democrats got wind of Edathy's presence on the list by Hans Peter Friedrich, who was then Interior Minister and has since resigned for possible obstruction of justice. But as we see in this report, the images in question - of children playing outdoors - may not even break German laws to begin with.
