A community group in Wales is currently on the hunt for a freezer large enough to store a 16-foot wide cardigan.

Four years ago, to commemorate their 900th anniversary the town of Cardigan knitted and displayed a giant cardigan.

To make a sweater that massive involved a sizeable chunk of money the handiwork of over 200 knitters.

Over the years it’s been hung a lot of places, and now that it’s tenure at its most recent display venue is over it needs some special care.

In order to kill any moths on it that may cause it harm, the entire giant sweater needs to be put into a deep freeze for about three weeks.

According to one of the people in charge, the arms and back of it can easily be taken off, but it still needs some pretty ample cooler space.

Thus, a team is on the hunt for somebody willing to help. Ideally, they’re looking for either two six-foot freezers or a giant walk-in model where the sweater can chill for a few weeks.

They’ve taken an ad out in a local paper and are hoping to have the sweater rid of moths prior to its next public appearance.
