Dead Space 3 does this every thirty seconds. "ISAAC DON'T FALL OFF THAT CLIFF", then you do, then you shoot everything with lasers and all is well again. Isaac Clarke is awesome though, he's got salt and pepper hair but he can still sprint around non-stop for like three days.
