In a set of very bizarre occurrences, fires broke out in two Maryland homes. The blazes occurred within just a few days of one another and the two affected homes are located on the very same street.

The first fire broke out on a Thursday night. The farmhouse located on Mountain View Road in Damacus was about 100 years old.

According to reports, that blaze was exceptionally fast moving and difficult to control.

The flames shot up so high, they could be spotted from miles away. Authorities aren’t quite sure what the cause was.

One occupant in the home encountered minor injures and was taken to a local hospital.

There are no fire hydrants in the immediate area on the street so firefighters were forced to bring a tanker truck to the scene.

The second incident occurred just days prior, on Christmas Eve. A home situated just across the street from the first one went up in flames.

Although the circumstances and similarities in the cases are strikingly similar, thus far it’s believed both fires are unrelated.
