A young girl in Chapel Hill, Tennessee recently wrote a note to her deceased great-grandmother named Minnie Sue Watts. To her utter shock, she got a response.

The 8-year-old child, Bella Hosford, had attached the handwritten letter to a balloon and released it into the sky. It noted “Tell Mawmaw I love her.”

Several months went by and eventually the balloon faded from the family’s memory, however just in time for Christmas, a package arrived in the mail.

Bella's mother, Tricia described what the satin envelope was holding - a locket with the balloon and a letter which read “Dearest Bella, Mawmaw is always with you. Just close your eyes and you will see her. Love, your guardian angel.”

Tricia said she and her daughter stood in the driveway crying for about 10 minutes after the surprise delivery. Tricia has no clue who was responsible for the kindhearted act, while Bella claims she would love to hug them and say thanks.

She also plans to wear her new locket to school.
