Super Bowl Organizers Already Preparing for Snow Storm

In 2014, for the first time ever, the highly anticipated Sunday football event may have to be changed to Super Bowl Monday if snow proves to be a problem.
In 2014, for the first time ever, the highly anticipated Sunday football event may have to be changed to Super Bowl Monday if snow proves to be a problem. The NFL is already making advance preparations in the event of weatherly disaster.
On February 2nd, the game is scheduled to be played at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey and this will be the first outdoor, winter weather championship battle in the history of the Super Bowl.
Following the two recent storms that broke out in the Northeast, event organizers are fearing the worst when it comes to inclement weather. Adding to the uneasiness, the Farmers' Almanac for next year has already been released and it predicts a good amount of snow for the Super Bowl weekend.
If snow does indeed fall, the deputy commissioner of the New Jersey Department of Transportation told reporters over 800 trucks, within 30 miles of the stadium, will be ready to handle it.
An additional 2,400 construction vehicles will be on call from elsewhere in New Jersey, waiting to help out. 2,000 garbage trucks in New York that have snow plowing capabilities may also be called in to assist along with loaders and salt spreaders.
