Well, here's my first video on Dailymotion, set up shop here just in case the shit hits the fan.
Using Don Drago's Takuma on Rajaa's Supergirl. I'm surprised I didn't catch her sooner.
She plays well and her AI doesn't block too much. Some of her combos are a bit weird feeling though and does she need the Melty Blood shield and parry? At least she has a config file to disable that stuff.
Her sprites look good but the Touhou Star of David charge animation looks stupid and so does the hippy trippy rainbow super finish BG.
And the worst aspect is the voice acting. Guess who, its bloody Kira "Rina-Chan" Buckland again, everyone's favourite voice acting whore. I always disliked her and never got the hype around her at all, she usually sounds so tired and lifeless (Ironically making Bloody Marie her best role yet.)
Here, its even worse because one again she uses the same anime tired lifeless voice on Supergirl. You remember when Supergirl was once voiced by Tara Strong, Summer Glau and the talented Nicolle Tom? Its a shame she's now repped by the wost amateur VA you can hope for.
She sounds utterly bored and lacking in energy or even emotion in her intros, attacks, supers, taunts and others, and her KO cry is absolute ear cancer. I have no idea why Rajaa went for her. I could have done a better job. I mean, can't we get Kiminh Tran on speed dial? She does so much better that its baffling we still stick with Rina-Chan. As Supergirl, Rina-Chan sounds like she deep-throated a bottle of Valium before she got started.
I'm sorry I babbled on about the VA. The char's good but wait til someone rips Supergirl's voice from other games.
